“National Alley” i.e. “Kouche Melli” by Mehrshad Karkhani from Iranian Cinema has been selected for the screening in Nagpur International Film Festival in India March 16-22, 2012. The movie was premiered in Tehran Fajr Film Festival in 2011.

Two strangers meet accidentally and embark on a search to unveil a love story happened 30 years ago under the roof of one of the movie theaters in one of the most charismatic, nostalgic corners of Tehran: Lalezar.

While watching the movie the audiences feel submerged in a search that feels as real as if it was their own search. The movie scenes and the storyline are both as simple as it lets the audience relive the experience and walk in the actors shoes. While the audience are looking for the love story hidden in 30 years ago, they are put in a situation to find love in the present and fall in love with not only the place but also the old movies in Iranian cinema.
